How does SenseStack know when a sauna is ready?

SenseStack uses a high-temperature probe mounted externally to the sauna to record heat-up curves and measure when the sauna reaches its optimal operating temperature range.

SenseStack is built for commercial sauna operators — gyms, wellness centres, hotels, and spas who need to ensure their saunas are consistently ready and at operating temperature before guests arrive.

How much does SenseStack cost?

Pilot access is €120 per monitored sauna for a 30-day operational readiness validation phase. This is credited toward ongoing subscription if you continue after the pilot.

1. Who we are

SenseStack ("we", "us") provides Operational Readiness Infrastructure for sauna, plunge and wellness operators. We are based in Ireland and operate the website sensestack.ie. For data protection queries, contact support@sensestack.ie.

2. Data we collect

We only collect what we need to evaluate fit, run pilots and respond to enquiries:

Contact data you submit (name, email, business name, message, role)
Pilot qualification data (location, number of devices, operating hours)
GDPR consent state and timestamp at point of submission
Basic technical data from your browser (request logs, cookie preferences)
Operational telemetry from devices we install during a pilot (temperature, humidity, status)

3. Why we process it

To respond to enquiries and qualify pilot applications (consent / legitimate interest)
To deliver the SenseStack service to contracted operators (contract)
To meet legal obligations (e.g. invoicing, retention requirements)
To improve product reliability and security (legitimate interest)

4. Lawful basis

Form submissions are processed on the basis of your explicit GDPR consent recorded at submission time. Pilot and customer data is processed under contract. Operational logs are retained under legitimate interest for security, debugging and service quality.

5. How we store data

Application data is stored on managed EU infrastructure with row-level security policies. Email notifications are routed through a transactional email provider. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

6. Retention

Enquiry submissions: up to 24 months from last contact, then deleted on request or expiry
Pilot & customer records: duration of contract plus 6 years for tax / legal compliance
Device telemetry: rolling 12 months unless an operator requests longer retention
Cookie preferences: 12 months in local browser storage

7. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email support@sensestack.ie and we will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

8. Cookies

We use a single essential cookie / local storage entry to remember your cookie preference. We do not run advertising trackers. If we add analytics in future, we will request consent first via the cookie banner.
